【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60793establishesuniformrequirementsformeasuringtheattenuationofopticalfibre,therebyassistingintheinspectionoffibresandcablesforcommercialpurposes.Fourmethodsaredescribedformeasuringattenuation,oneofwhichbeingthatformodellingspectralattenuation:-methodA:cut-back;-methodB:insertionloss;-methodC:backscattering;-methodD:modellingspectralattenuation.MethodsAtoCapplytothemeasurementofattenuationforallcategoriesofthefollowingfibres:-classAmultimodefibres;-classBsingle-modefibres.MethodC,backscattering,alsocoversthelocation,lossesandcharacterizationofpointdiscontinuities.Todate,methodDhasbeendemonstratedonlyonclassBfibres.Informationcommontoallthreemeasurements,andtothemodellingmethod,appearsinclauses1to8,andinformationpertainingtoeachindividualmethodappearsinannexesA,B,C,andD,respectively.
