【摘要】:1.1Thereferenceradiographsprovidedintheadjuncttothisstandardillustratevarioustypesanddegreesofdiscontinuitiesoccurringinthin-wallsteelinvestmentcastings.Useofthisstandardforthespecificationorgradingofcastingsrequiresprocurementoftheadjunctreferenceradiographswhichillustratethediscontinuitytypesandseveritylevels.Theyareintendedtoprovidethefollowing:1.1.1Aguideenablingrecognitionofthin-wallsteelcastingdiscontinuitiesandtheirdifferentiationbothastotypeanddegreethroughradiographicexamination.1.1.2Exampleradiographicillustrationsofdiscontinuitiesandanomenclatureforreferenceinacceptancestandards,specificationsanddrawings.1.2Twoillustrationcategoriesarecoveredasfollows:1.2.1Graded8212;Sixcommondiscontinuitytypeseachillustratedineightdegreesofprogressivelyincreasingseverity.1.2.2Ungraded8212;Twelvesingleillustrationsofadditionaldiscontinuitytypesandofpatternsandimperfectionsnotgenerallyregardedasdiscontinuities.1.3Thereferenceradiographsweredevelopedforcastingsectionsupto1in.(25.4mm)inthickness.1.4Thisdocumentmaybeusedwherethereisnootherapplicabledocumentexistingorforothermaterialthicknessesforwhichitisfoundtobeapplicableandforwhichagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandmanufacturer.Note18212;Thesetofreferenceradiographs,producedwithX-raysintherangefrom130to250kVp,consistof16plates(81/2by11in.(216by279mm))ina9x00BE;by11x00BD;-in.(248by292-mm)ringbinder.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
